About Me — Kerry Beall

Hello! My name is Kerry, I’m new to medium and hope to write down thoughts and ideas that will contribute towards helping us understand our lived experiences…

I am a visual artist and a counsellor, so I am fascinated by how we live and connect…and enjoy the continuous journey of self-discovery.

Background

So, as a bit of a background, I currently live in Manchester, but I grew up in Portsmouth, and have lived in Cornwall, Bristol, Brighton, and Bath. During that time I studied Graphic Design and worked in a studio for many years before embarking on an art career. I then studied counselling and psychotherapy in Manchester and now my career includes a complementary mix of counselling and creativity.

Goals for medium

As a visual artist, I often paint and draw to make sense of the world, some of my work can be found here if you want to take a look,
but I also love to write down thoughts and ideas, often from my lived experiences. I have stacks of notebooks that I’ve acquired over the years around all sorts of topics; relationships, boundaries, finding a voice, confidence, self-esteem, hope, grief, and self-love to name a few…so I wanted to share some of these ideas with you in the hopes that they might be relatable.
